Business Budget Mastery for Entrepreneurs
A practical 14-week programme starting October 2025
Most entrepreneurs know their product backwards. But when it comes to managing cash flow and actually understanding where money goes each month? That's where things get fuzzy. This programme changes that—not through theory, but through working with your actual business numbers.

How the Programme Actually Works
We've run this five times now. Each cohort typically has 12-15 business owners, all wrestling with similar questions about pricing, runway, and whether they can afford to hire. The format is straightforward: live sessions twice a week where we work through real scenarios, plus smaller peer groups for accountability.
Foundation Phase (Weeks 1-4)
We start with your current situation. You'll map your actual income and expenses, identify patterns you've missed, and build a baseline budget that reflects reality rather than optimism.
Building Systems (Weeks 5-9)
Here's where we get into forecasting, seasonal adjustments, and building buffers. You'll create systems that work even during chaotic months—because those always come.
Growth Planning (Weeks 10-14)
The final stretch focuses on scaling decisions. How to budget for growth, when to invest in tools or people, and building financial confidence for bigger moves.
What We Cover Each Week
The curriculum adapts based on the cohort's needs, but these modules form the backbone. Each session includes practical exercises you'll apply to your own business immediately.
Understanding Your Numbers
Stop guessing where your money goes. We'll categorize expenses in ways that actually help you make decisions, and you'll learn which metrics matter for your specific business model.
Revenue Forecasting
Build realistic projections based on your sales patterns. We'll work through seasonal fluctuations, customer payment cycles, and creating multiple scenarios for planning.
Cash Flow Management
The difference between profit and cash is what catches most entrepreneurs off guard. You'll create systems to track timing, manage gaps, and avoid those stomach-dropping moments.
Pricing Strategy
Figure out what you actually need to charge. We'll factor in your real costs, time investment, and desired profit margins—then test those numbers against market reality.
Growth Investment
When does it make sense to hire? Buy that software? Expand your offering? We'll build frameworks for evaluating investments without gambling your business stability.
Building Financial Resilience
Create buffers, plan for slow periods, and build confidence in your financial position. This module focuses on sustainable practices that reduce stress and increase options.

Who's Teaching This
Our teaching team has collectively worked with over 300 small business owners. Ragnar spent twelve years helping creative entrepreneurs untangle their finances before founding merovanquilo. Theodora builds budgeting systems for service businesses, and Barnabas coaches on the mindset side—because money anxiety is real and affects decisions.
What makes this programme different is that we've all run our own businesses. We get the messy reality of inconsistent income, unexpected expenses, and making financial decisions without perfect information.
Our Teaching Approach
- Small cohorts so everyone gets individual attention
